MyTab is built on a simple principle: your new tab is yours. We collect nothing, track nothing, and send nothing anywhere.
Nothing. MyTab does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to any third party. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking of any kind.
To make the extension work, MyTab saves a small amount of information locally in your browser using the standard storage API. This never leaves your device. It includes:
You can clear this at any time from the settings panel ("Clear saved quotes") or by removing the extension.
MyTab makes no external network requests. The quote library and the fonts are all bundled inside the extension. Nothing is fetched from any server, so no information about you ever leaves your device through MyTab.
MyTab requires no account, no email, and no sign-in to function. The optional email list on our website is separate from the extension and only stores an address you voluntarily submit, used solely to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
MyTab requests a single permission:
MyTab does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Because MyTab holds no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. All data lives on your device and is fully under your control. If you contacted our optional email list, you may request removal at any time by emailing us.
If this policy changes, the updated date above will reflect it, and the new version will ship with the extension.
